Words cannont express my love . . .

My friend Ana got engaged a few months ago to a wonderful, fiery red head named Pete.  Ana and Pete both have so much determination, passion, and love for the Lord.  Ana and I have formed a friendship over the past year and a half that has really meant so much to me.  It was a relationship full of laughter, encouragement, ambition, and inspiration.  Ana truly has a special place in my heart and has pushed me in ways she probably won’t ever know.   I am so sad that I cannot attend their wedding- I had a wedding already booked =(     – but I will be there in spirit.  I wish you both all the happiness in the world.  Here are a few engagement photos that we took a few weeks ago.

I was going through and putting my favorite 24 photos together for a little purse album for Ty and Adam.  How can I pick my favorite 24 photos- they all look so good.  I thought I had posted some of my very favorites but as I was going through I found some more- imagine that!  Here they are.  Stay tuned for some more posts soon- I have some engagement photos and family photos to post from the past couple weeks.  I am also shooting my friend Jessica’s bridal portraits this Saturday- I’ll check to see if her fiance ever checks blogs.  I might have to wait until Sept to post her bridal shoot.

Growing Up

All I can say is I love this family.  They are fun and have the cutest kids.  I have taken photos of this family 4 times now.  I love these-  http://meganhillphoto.wordpress.com/2008/07/02/finn-and-his-new-baby-brother/  Here are the newest ones I took a few weekends ago.  We tried to go for a more edgy/ non traditional look this time- I think we did a great job considering the fact that a 9 month old and 3 year old were involved.  Thanks again Felicia for being an awesome friend and client!

Ty and Adam’s Wedding

Here are a few photos from the Hall wedding from a few weeks ago.  It looked like buckets of rain were about to pour out from the sky at any moment.  I kept telling Ty everything was going to be perfect and it wasn’t going to rain!  Luckily I didn’t lie to her and the rain held off until after the reception was over.  I can just sense these things- I have secretly always wanted to be a weather woman.    So in the end the wedding was perfect and the overcast sky made for beautiful photos.  The wedding was great and I got to see old friends and make new friends.  I met Ty in college and I am so glad she asked me to take her photos.  She is beautiful inside and out and her and Adam seem perfect for each other.  Congrats guys- I wish you the best!

What started out as a family photo blog- ended up as a technological tangent.

Here are a few photos of a family that I took a couple weeks ago. I need to get back into this blog thing. Trying to keep up with this, Facebook, and Twitter is just too much. I tried logging into my My Space the other day and couldn’t remember my password or the email i signed up with to retrieve my password. . . . guess that account is finished. Twitter- I cant really get into- maybe I just don’t get it yet- or maybe I don’t feel like telling the world everything I am doing, but yet I like reading what other people are doing. I go back and forth. I’ve been really fickle lately. I blame it on my dog. Can I do that? She makes me crazy- once again my life is revolving around my dog. I need to do something about that. Anyways- tangent. Back to one of my good friends family photos. Jane thanks for setting the shoot up. I had lots of fun and hope you like them!

Quick Wedding Update

I love snow. I dislike cold weather. I love puppies. I dislike disobedience.

I woke up Sunday in a beautiful mood.  It’s amazing how easy it is to get up early when there is snow outside my window.

It’s also amazing that I can look into those cute little puppy dog eyes and forget all the anxiety she creates in my house.  No one told me owning a puppy was hard.  I thought it was all snuggling and licking.  Wrong!  She is a great model and an excellent running partner (that is, when she doesn’t want to chase after cyclists).  I keep telling myself- just a few more months and she will grow out of it.  Please tell me I am right?  =)

All the World’s a Stage

I love the fact that every wedding is different.  It really keeps me on my toes and stretches me creatively, technically, and emotionally.  Here are some photos of David and Hannah’s wedding at the Belcourt theater.  Their theater themed wedding was played out perfectly and was a very unique idea.  After all the festivities we walked around Hillsboro Village- which was a lot of fun.  Everyone was honking and congratulating them.  We had a great time and the photos look great!
