My friend Ana got engaged a few months ago to a wonderful, fiery red head named Pete.  Ana and Pete both have so much determination, passion, and love for the Lord.  Ana and I have formed a friendship over the past year and a half that has really meant so much to me.  It was a relationship full of laughter, encouragement, ambition, and inspiration.  Ana truly has a special place in my heart and has pushed me in ways she probably won’t ever know.   I am so sad that I cannot attend their wedding- I had a wedding already booked =(     – but I will be there in spirit.  I wish you both all the happiness in the world.  Here are a few engagement photos that we took a few weeks ago.

More favorites.

May 27, 2009

I was going through and putting my favorite 24 photos together for a little purse album for Ty and Adam.  How can I pick my favorite 24 photos- they all look so good.  I thought I had posted some of my very favorites but as I was going through I found some more- imagine that!  Here they are.  Stay tuned for some more posts soon- I have some engagement photos and family photos to post from the past couple weeks.  I am also shooting my friend Jessica’s bridal portraits this Saturday- I’ll check to see if her fiance ever checks blogs.  I might have to wait until Sept to post her bridal shoot.

I woke up Sunday in a beautiful mood.  It’s amazing how easy it is to get up early when there is snow outside my window.

It’s also amazing that I can look into those cute little puppy dog eyes and forget all the anxiety she creates in my house.  No one told me owning a puppy was hard.  I thought it was all snuggling and licking.  Wrong!  She is a great model and an excellent running partner (that is, when she doesn’t want to chase after cyclists).  I keep telling myself- just a few more months and she will grow out of it.  Please tell me I am right?  =)

p.s.  Willow I love you- no matter what i say!  ;)

All the World’s a Stage

January 13, 2009

I love the fact that every wedding is different.  It really keeps me on my toes and stretches me creatively, technically, and emotionally.  Here are some photos of David and Hannah’s wedding at the Belcourt theater.  Their theater themed wedding was played out perfectly and was a very unique idea.  After all the festivities we walked around Hillsboro Village- which was a lot of fun.  Everyone was honking and congratulating them.  We had a great time and the photos look great!

Lisa and Mike

December 17, 2008

I am blessed to be able to work with some awesome people and their amazing families.  Mike and Lisa’s wedding was a very happy, emotional time but also a great celebration.  We had a great time and the entire bridal party and family were so easy to work with.  Here is to you, Mike and Lisa.  I hope your marriage is filled with lots of joy and love.  Your marriage is a great example of two families truly becoming one.

Congrats Steve and Peggy!

December 3, 2008

I had a great time with Steve and Peggy, and I must say Peggy . . . is quite the model.  She made things so easy.  She had her poses down and knew exactly what she wanted.  We had a blast.  We went all around town after the wedding and took lots of photos of the newly wed couple.  My favorites are the city themed photos at the bottom.  Thanks for letting me be apart of your special day!

Josh and Jess are engaged!

November 7, 2008

I had the privilege of taking engagement photos for a good friend and co worker of mine.  We had a blast hanging out on Josh’s family property.  It was beautiful.  It made me almost wish I lived out in the country.  Almost!  As soon as I got back into downtown Nashville I realized I am still a city girl, but I do love Tennessee’s rolling hills but not the bugs!  =)  Here are some of my favorite shots from last weekend.  (There were so many great ones it was hard to choose)

Some friends of mine found Willow, her mom, and her brother on the side of the road in Chattanooga a few weekends ago.  She needed a home and Chad and I thought we were ready for a dog.  We soon found out that puppies are a lot of work!  But she is worth it.  She is to cute and follows me around everywhere.  I love it!

Here is Willow at the park with our best friend Alana.  We had a great time hanging out and eating snow cones. Pina Colada is her favorite.
