Georgia on My Mind

August 22, 2008

I took a short vacation to Savannah with my family a week ago and had a blast.  It was good to get away and experience the beautiful, haunted, historic town of Savannah.  It is by far the most beautiful scenic city I have seen.  We watched Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil on the way down and it’s a good thing too.  The entire city and tours are made up of stories and memorabilia about the book and movie.  For all who are familiar with the story- we stayed right next to Lady Chablis’s famous “club” that she worked at.  I kept hoping I would see her walking around town but we weren’t that fortunate.  Apparently she still makes appearances at Club One once a month.  The food was outstanding!  We went to Mrs. Wilkes (which is better than Paula Deans), Belford’s, Sixpence Pub (from the movie Look Who’s Talking with Julia Roberts), and B. Mathews (incredible!) just to name a few.  Here are a few photos I took around the town.

My beautiful sister!

Chad and I at the Sixpence Pub- I loved this telephone booth!

Too Cute for Words

Jackson and I got to hang out a little bit a couple of Saturdays ago.  It was very hot and Jackson was so good . . . He didn’t cry once.  We had a great time and I cant wait to take photos of him and his mom this fall when it gets a little cooler.  Jason and Crystal you have the sweetest baby.  He’s too cute!  Thanks for letting me be apart of your family’s life.
